**Job Description**
The Research Assistant will be responsible for conducting research focused on creating and optimizing computational platforms for the design of nanophotonic structures, including biosensors. This role involves contributing to the publication of research findings in scientific journals and conferences, as well as working alongside the principal investigator to mentor undergraduate student researchers.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Previous experience in Python programming
• Previous experience with electromagnetic simulation platforms
• Writing skills to summarize research findings and integrate into scientific manuscripts or journals
• Communication and interpersonal skills to interact and work collaboratively with other researchers
• Ability to collaborate with Principal Investigator and other researchers
• Strong programming and computational skills
• Experience in photonic inverse design (Desired)
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• (BSc)
Other:
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
