**Job Description**
This project, titled “Anticipatory Robotics,” aims to enhance Human-Robot Interaction by developing “Robot Body Language,” incorporating messages and emotions into the movements of collaborative robots. The Research Assistant will design, implement, and test real-time multi-objective motion planning algorithms for hybrid expressive-functional robot trajectories in collaborative systems. Key responsibilities include conducting HRI experiments, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to research publications, and supporting the supervision of graduate students.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong background in robotics motion planning and control.
• Familiarity with trajectory optimization for single- and/or dual-arm cobots.
• Knowledge of movement primitives and multi-objective optimization.
• Practical experience with industrial or collaborative robotic arms (e.g., UR, KUKA, ABB).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and ROS.
• Experience working on interdisciplinary projects involving both technical and human-centered aspects of robotics.
• Demonstrated ability to carry out independent research, as evidenced by publications in reputable journals or conferences.
