**Job Description**
A Research Assistant (Engineer) position is available within Prof (Dr) Naresh Kumar’s research team at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. The team focuses on developing spinal implant materials and technology for clinical application. This role involves performing quality research in metal additive manufacturing (AM), material characterization, and design for AM, requiring a self-motivated candidate with interest and expertise in at least one of these areas.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Expertise and avid interest in 3D Printing and/or CAD design.
• Excellent command of appropriate Engineering/Medical Terminology.
• Proficiency in English language for effective scientific communication.
• Strong aptitude in research work.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours (after office hours / weekends) on a mutually acceptable schedule.
• Meticulous, well-organized, and able to multi-task.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Engineering (with expertise in 3D Printing and/or CAD design)
• MBBS or other Bachelor’s degrees (preferably Biomedical engineering or life sciences, with an interest to quickly learn 3D printing and/or CAD design)
