**Job Description**
The High-Resolution Seismic Group, led by Dr. Hao Hu at the School of Geosciences, University of Oklahoma, is seeking a motivated and technically skilled research assistant. This part-time position, up to 8 hours per week, supports ongoing research in Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS). DAS is an innovative technology that utilizes existing optical fiber networks to measure ground motion with high spatial and temporal resolution. This position offers hands-on experience with advanced seismic instrumentation, data analysis, and field coordination.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficiency in seismic data processing
• Strong skills in Python, MATLAB, and Linux environments
• Ability to lift and move equipment, including the DAS interrogator (~50 lbs.) and associated fiber cables (~50 lbs.)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Geophysics

**Experience**
Other:
• Must be currently enrolled in the Fall Term as a Graduate student at the University of Oklahoma.
• Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
• Must attach FALL 2025 OU class schedule.
