Research Assistant III

**Job Description**
The Research Assistant III provides higher-complexity research support under minimal supervision, assisting with various tasks including equipment and supply ordering, setup, experimentation, monitoring results, and data collection. This role also supports the research and general administration of the Capstone Poll, which is part of the Center for Business and Economic Research within the Culverhouse College of Business. Responsibilities include assisting and supervising Data Clerks, consulting on survey research aspects, conducting surveys from sampling design and questionnaire construction to interviewing, data analysis, and presenting results through formal written reports. Data is collected using multiple methods such as telephone interviews, online surveys, written mail, group-distribution surveys, in-person interviews, and focus groups, with technical reports tailored to project or sponsor needs.

• 2 years (Associate’s degree)
• Some research support experience (Bachelor’s degree or higher)
Other:
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background investigation
