**Skills & Abilities**
� Strong background in electromagnetic and optical modeling using tools including Ansys, Comsol, Matlab
� Expertise in wet chemical synthesis, experimental sensor fabrication, and testing using the optical fiber sensing platform
� Optical instrumentation and interrogation
� Strong interest in basic and applied research
� Effective verbal and written communication skills
� Ability to work both independently and within a team structure
� Ability to deliver project components on given time schedules
� Ability to multitask

Required Degree(s) in:
� Materials Science and Engineering
� Chemistry
