**Job Description**
The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering invites applications for a non-tenure stream Research Assistant Professor. The position focuses on designing and performing novel neurophysiology experiments in an animal laboratory setting, generating and analyzing neurophysiological data, and publishing scientific work. Responsibilities may also include assisting in teaching, mentoring students, and overseeing laboratory staff.

• Ability to carry out independent and/or collaborative research in neuroscience, neural engineering, or closely aligned endeavors.
• Proficiency in designing and performing neurophysiology experiments.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Bioengineering
• Biomedical Engineering
• Closely related disciplines
Other:
• Ph.D or equivalent degree
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Greater than five years of postdoctoral experience or similar experience carrying out independent and/or collaborative research in the field of neuroscience, neural engineering, or closely aligned endeavors.
