The Research Assistant Professor position supports an NIH-funded program focusing on islet biology and metabolic disease within the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. The role involves designing and conducting advanced experimental research, collaborating with Principal Investigator Dr. Chad Hunter, mentoring trainees, and contributing to manuscript and grant proposal preparation. **Qualifications**

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Three (3) years of experience in a research laboratory setting.
Other:

• Experience securing research funding (e.g., fellowships, grants).
• Experience mentoring trainees and managing collaborative teams.
