**Job Description**
The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore, hosted by the National University of Singapore, is seeking a Research Assistant for the research group of Professor Marco Tomamichel. The role involves contributing to an ongoing project focused on utilizing semiring techniques, specifically the theory of asymptotic spectra, to identify quantum or classical relative entropies and other entropic quantities relevant to large-sample and catalytic majorization of classical or quantum statistical experiments. The ideal candidate will be familiar with real-algebraic methods relevant to the project. CQT is an international work environment with staff from NUS, A*STAR, NTU, and SUTD, engaging in basic research on quantum physics and developing quantum technology devices.

• Strong mathematical background, particularly affinity with real-algebraic techniques utilized in this project
• Familiarity with real-algebraic methods
• Proved capacity of working with co-workers
• Strong communication and writing skills
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Mathematics
• (Mathematical) Physics
• Computer Science
**Experience**
Other:
• Experience in academic research in a closely related field
• Experience as a teaching assistant for university-level courses
