**Job Description**
Applications are invited for a Research Associate to join the Bendor Lab at the Institute of Behavioural Neuroscience, University College London, led by Prof. Daniel Bendor. The lab investigates how memories are prioritized for long-term storage via hippocampal replay and the hippocampus’s role in cognition, including memory consolidation and predictive coding. This role involves using state-of-the-art experimental approaches such as behavioural experiments with chronic Neuropixel recordings and optogenetic tools in rodents to study cortico-hippocampal interactions. The successful candidate will also perform data analysis using MATLAB or Python and various lab procedures.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Relevant laboratory experience
• Experience working with rodent behaviour (essential)
• Home Office personal License (desirable)
• Techniques such as electrophysiology (desirable)
• Immunohistochemistry (desirable)
• Microscopy (desirable)
• Experience in data analysis in MATLAB/Python (desirable)
