The Research Associate will be instrumental in advancing radiation-related and space research projects, focusing on molecular biology, biochemistry, and in vivo/in vitro experimental work. This role involves the hands-on execution of complex experiments, meticulous sample processing, and contributing to data analysis and figure preparation, with responsibilities evolving alongside new projects and research priorities.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Demonstrated experience in mouse handling; familiarity with mouse surgical techniques preferred.
• Basic computer skills and statistical analysis.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Prior training in radiation biology, including basic dosimetry assessment (Preferred).
• Experience with microscopy and advanced molecular biology techniques (Preferred).
• Tissue culture and animal handling, or willingness to acquire these skills (Preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including scientific documentation and reporting (Preferred).
• Programming in R or Python (Preferred).
