**Job Description**
Applications are invited for a Research Fellow to join Dr. Richard Meek’s group, focusing on the role of protein machinery in brain calcification. This MRC-funded project employs a multidisciplinary approach combining mass spectrometry, microscopy, and cell-based assays to investigate how dysfunctional carbohydrate processing leads to disease. The role aims to advance the understanding of the molecular basis of brain signalling and neurological disorders, requiring strong organizational skills and collaborative engagement with world-leading scientists.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong organisational skills.
• Ability to maintain detailed and dated laboratory and electronic notes.
• Good statistical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Experience in neurobiology and/or glycobiology (useful but not essential).

Required Degree(s) in:
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Related discipline

• Proteomic methodologies (including data collection, processing and interpretation)
