**Job Description**
This Research Fellow position at University College London (UCL) is for the ’50 Years of Becoming a Mother’ (BAM50) project, working under the supervision of Dr Charlotte Faircloth (TCRU), Professor Ann Oakley (SSRU), and Meg Wiggins (SSRU). The successful candidate will lead a new and ambitious round of data collection, contributing to research into maternity and parenting culture in the UK context over the last 50 years. The role involves multidisciplinary teamwork and requires excellent research skills across all aspects of the research process.

• Experience of team and multidisciplinary-working
• Excellent research skills, covering all aspects of the research process
• Knowledge of research methodology and methods
• Experience with (intersectional) sampling
• Data management
• Analytical techniques
• Knowledge exchange
• Excellent substantive knowledge of research into maternity and parenting culture over the last 50 years, specifically in the UK context
• Experience of social research into motherhood or family life, particularly in the UK context in the last 50 years
• Experience of qualitative research, including sampling strategies and data collection
• Experience of data analysis, including but not limited to thematic analysis via NVivo

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Sociology (Ph.D)
• Social Science (Ph.D)
• Related area of study (Ph.D)

**Experience**
Other:
• Evidence of scholarship which contributes to SRI research, including work of international profile with a strong record of peer-reviewed publications.
• Experience of social research into motherhood or family life, particularly in the UK context in the last 50 years.
• Experience of qualitative research, including sampling strategies as well as data collection.
• Experience of data analysis, including but not limited to thematic analysis via NVivo.
• Experience of team and multidisciplinary-working.
