**Job Description**
The Wu Research Group at NTU’s School of Materials Science and Engineering is seeking a Research Fellow to develop advanced wet-spinning processes for conductive polymers. This role focuses on the design, fabrication, and integration of conductive polymer fibers into next-generation fabric-based sensors and thermoregulation systems, contributing to NTU’s mission in sustainable healthcare and energy-efficient solutions. The group’s broader research encompasses textile materials for personalized healthcare and sustainability, utilizing polymer molecular engineering, fiber structure design, advanced textile technology, machine learning, and life cycle assessment to create sustainable wearable systems.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong hands-on experience in conductive polymer synthesis, fiber/wet-spinning processes, and characterization of fibrous materials
• Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific programming tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, or equivalent)
• Good written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality research publications and technical reports
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions under tight timelines
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research team
• Experience in mentoring students or junior researchers is preferred
