**Job Description**
This research opportunity focuses on the biological control of the emerald ash borer. The research fellow will participate in collaborative research, primarily involving the initiation and maintenance of insect colonies (emerald ash borer and its egg or larval parasitoids) in a laboratory setting. Additionally, the role involves conducting field experiments to delineate host association of egg parasitoids and assess their impact on emerald ash borer and other non-target Agrilus pests in the Northern U.S. The participant will learn principles of classical biological control, experimental design, and methods for evaluating the impact of natural enemies on target pest populations and the subsequent ecological recovery of ash forests.
