**Job Description**
A Research Fellow position is available in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Southampton, based at the MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Centre. This NIHR-funded role focuses on preconception, maternal, and child health, aiming to inform how individuals can be better supported in planning and preparing for pregnancy and parenthood. The post holder will lead and contribute to quantitative studies, developing data analysis plans, organizing data management, and conducting statistical analysis of national and local routine health datasets, including the Education and Child Health Insights from Linked Data (ECHILD) resource. Key objectives involve quantifying the effects of preconception intervention scenarios on maternal and and child health outcomes, health service use, educational outcomes, and the reduction of inequalities. The role offers opportunities to explore related questions and contribute to peer-reviewed publications, working closely with a diverse range of colleagues and partners to maximize dissemination and impact.
