Research Fellow (Device Fabrication & Characterization)

**Job Description**
The Research Fellow will advance research in semiconductor device technologies, including LEDs, photodetectors, solar cells, transistors, and electrically driven single-photon diodes (SPDs). The role focuses on device fabrication, nanofabrication techniques, optical cavity design, and advanced electrical/optical characterization. This position is key to supporting the LUMINOUS! Centre of Excellence, contributing to NTU’s mission of pioneering world-class research in energy-efficient, sustainable, and next-generation electronics and optoelectronics.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong hands-on expertise in semiconductor device fabrication, including LEDs, photodetectors, solar cells, transistors, and electrically driven single-photon diodes (SPDs).
• Proficiency in cleanroom-based nanofabrication processes (e.g., thin-film deposition, etching, doping).
• Experience in optical cavity design and integration for optoelectronic and quantum devices.
• Skilled in electrical and optical characterization techniques (e.g., probe stations, photoluminescence, electroluminescence, spectroscopy).
• Strong knowledge of device physics for semiconductor lighting, displays, and quantum optoelectronics.
• Demonstrated ability to publish in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Materials Science
• Applied Physics
• Related field
