**Job Description**
This Research Fellow position, based in the UCL Department of Biochemical Engineering, is a key part of the Manufacturing Research Hub for a Sustainable Future (VaxHub Sustainable). The role involves quantitatively evaluating sustainability aspects of vaccine development and contributing to best practices for environmental footprinting of biotechnology processes. The post holder will utilize Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methods to propose waste reduction strategies and assess the potential for industrial ecologies, working within a team of UCL-based researchers and collaborators.

• Doctorate (or equivalent) in a relevant process engineering field.
• Experience in one or more of bioprocess modelling, Life Cycle Assessment, and sustainability evaluation (desirable).
