**Job Description**
The Social Service Research Centre (SSR) at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore (NUS), invites applications for a full-time Research Fellow position. The appointment will be for an initial period of 2 years with a possibility of renewal. Since April 2015, SSR has been committed to driving impactful social service research and capability development, promoting and testing social innovations, and helping to evolve Singapore’s social service infrastructure. As the sole entity dedicated to research on social interventions in Singapore, SSR serves as a focal point for rigorous applied research, collaborating with government, civil society, and private philanthropic institutions to facilitate large-scale, community-based service innovations through various methods including programme evaluation and social analytics. The Research Fellow will join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and work with academics, field practitioners, government, and non-governmental agencies on diverse projects.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Aptitude for and relevant experience in collaborative as well as independent social science research
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Strong research and publication record
• Familiarity with Singapore’s social service sector (an advantage)
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Social Sciences (preferably Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Social Policy, Public Health, and Behavioral Economics)
**Experience**
Other:
• Relevant experience in collaborative as well as independent social science research
• Strong research and publication record
• Familiarity with Singapore’s social service sector is an advantage
