The Observatory for Mathematical Education, a collaboration between the School of Education and the School of Mathematical Sciences, seeks an experienced researcher with expertise in quantitative education data generation and analysis. This role involves state-of-the-art, evidence-driven, and policy-relevant research to enhance mathematical education across primary, secondary, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. The researcher will explore learner pathways and outcomes, analyzing groundbreaking primary datasets from longitudinal cohort studies and administrative datasets (e.g., National Pupil Database), alongside contributing to evaluation and intervention projects. The position is permanent, with initial funding until October 2028, and expected extension to October 2033.
