Seeking a skilled and motivated researcher to join a Pfizer-funded program focused on vaccine effectiveness of maternal RSV vaccination in infants in Scotland. This role involves secondary data analysis of routinely collected healthcare data, requiring work within the National Safe Haven secure research environment to prepare linked datasets and undertake analysis according to study protocols. The successful candidate will also contribute to the preparation and submission of research publications and reports for the commercial funder.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Biological Science, or other relevant subject (Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 10 – Honours Degree or equivalent, or working towards a Masters – Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 11).
• For Grade 7: Relevant biological, computational, or statistical discipline (Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 – PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience).
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Sufficient breadth and/or depth of knowledge in virology or clinical epidemiology and of research/teaching methods and techniques to work as a virologist/epidemiologist, demonstrated through relevant work experience (including experience gained throughout PhD).
• Experience in data handling and statistical analysis in R and/or Stata.
• Experience of scientific writing.
• Proven ability to deliver quality outputs (such as publications) in a timely and efficient manner.
• Experience preparing data for publication and writing publications.
• Evidence of an emerging track record of publications in a relevant field.
Other:
• For Grade 7: Sufficient breadth and/or depth of knowledge in the specialist subject/discipline and of research/teaching methods and techniques to work within the subject area, demonstrated through relevant post-doctoral work experience, including independence illustrated by identification of project objectives from assessment of the literature, the design/analysis of experiments, and the drafting of scientific publications.
• For Grade 7: Established publication track record in a relevant field of research, including at least one as first author, in appropriate-impact international scientific journal.
• For Grade 7: Experience in epidemiology research, or research related to field of study.
• Desirable: Experience of epidemiological analysis using national health and statutory datasets.
• Desirable: Experience of laboratory serological techniques.
• Desirable: Familiarity with vaccinology or viral immunology.
