**Job Description**
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Cell, Developmental, & Integrative Biology, is seeking a skilled and experienced Researcher. Under minimal/moderate supervision, the Researcher will set up and perform routine and established lab procedures, collect, enter, and summarize data, and monitor results. This professional-level position involves independently leading and executing research projects, designing studies, analyzing data, and potentially publishing findings. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and contributing to grant writing and securing funding. The position may involve research collaborator contact, research animal contact, and/or specimen handling.

Required Degree(s) in:
• Biology
• Biochemistry

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Two (2) years (Bachelor’s degree in related field)
• Four (4) years (Associate’s degree in related field)
• Six (6) years (High School diploma or GED)
Other:
• Lab experience is required.
• Prior experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques such as RNA and protein extraction, quantitative real-time PCR, immunoblotting, and flow cytometry is preferred.
• Prior experience with the production of human sample and mouse colony management and/or isolation of primary cells is desired.
• Previous experience in a basic science lab is preferred.
