**Job Description**
This position involves research in Underwater Technology and Robotics at AAU Energy, focusing on the offshore energy sector. The researcher will work with autonomous or remotely operated robotic systems, applying control theory, sensor fusion, and signal processing. The role includes collaborative interdisciplinary projects, engagement with industrial partners, contribution to applied research challenges, and participation in research-based teaching in robotics, automation, and related engineering topics.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Documented experience in autonomous or remotely operated robotic systems, preferably in underwater or field robotics.
• Strong competencies in control theory, sensor fusion, and signal processing.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) and tools such as ROS.
• Experience in simulation and digital twins.
• Experience in the use of synthetic data for training machine learning models.
• Strong publication record.
