**Job Description**
The Department of Psychology at Lancaster University is seeking a software/machine learning engineer to join an interdisciplinary team on the “Protecting Ordinary People from Deepfakes Project”. The project, funded by a UKRI ESRC/EPSRC Future Leaders Fellowship, focuses on mapping and mitigating threats from deepfake technology, specifically addressing the illegal use of deepfakes for violence against women and girls. The successful candidate will lead or contribute to the development of a forensically assured verification system, initially using face recognition technology, and will be responsible for its day-to-day management.
