**Job Description**
Applications are invited for a Senior Research Fellow / Research Fellow position within a multidisciplinary research program funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), administered by the Singapore-HUJ Alliance for Research and Enterprise (SHARE). This collaborative initiative involves leading Principal Investigators from NUS, HUJ, A*STAR, RP, and NTU, focusing on aquaculture, bioinformatics, and related life sciences. The successful candidate, a bioinformatician or data scientist, will contribute to a multi-omics integration effort encompassing transcriptomics, metagenomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data to investigate Aquaculture solutions. The project aims to use a multi-omics approach, combined with gut microbiome studies and multi-modal characterization of neurobiology of stress response and resilience in fish, specifically Asian Seabass in farm conditions and laboratory model zebrafish. The role involves developing novel multi-omics data integration strategies within a dynamic team of biologists, neuroscientists, bioinformaticians, and aquaculture specialists.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Proven research track record with publications or preprints in relevant domains.
• Prior demonstrable experience in at least one or more of the following analyses – sc transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics.
• Strong bioinformatics background and / or familiar with software programming, data analysis and statistics.
• Demonstrable works, such as a GitHub Profile with history of project works.
• Ability to generate user friendly scripts in R, and Python for data visualization and analysis.
• Creative problem solver with critical thinking skills and the ability to manage, explore and interpret complex biological datasets.
• Expertise in microbiome research or in handling different types of omics data preferred.
• Proficient in laboratory techniques, documentation, and research data management.
• Proficient in other IT tools, including statistical software and bioinformatics platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Able to work independently, and also effectively with a team, and enjoys collaboration.
• Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities; detail-oriented and responsible.
• Willingness to be based at or rotate between partner institutions as needed.

Details
Full-time / Temporary Location Requirement: Relocation required to Singapore, with potential rotation between partner institutions including NUS, A*STAR, RP, NTU, Singapore Aquaculture Technologies Pte Ltd (SAT), the St John's Island National Marine Laboratory (SJINML), or the Marine Aquaculture Centre (MAC) on St John's Island.
