**Job Description**
Applications are invited for a Senior Research Fellow / Research Fellow position within a multidisciplinary research program funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), administered by the Singapore-HUJ Alliance for Research and Enterprise (SHARE). This collaborative initiative involves leading Principal Investigators from NUS, HUJ, A*STAR, RP, and NTU. The successful candidate will support PIs in implementing and executing research activities aligned with the program’s objectives. The role seeks a highly motivated bioinformatician or data scientist to contribute to a multi-omics integration effort, including transcriptomics, metagenomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data, within new projects investigating aquaculture solutions. The overall goal is to use a multi-omics approach, combined with gut microbiome studies and multi-modal characterization of neurobiology, to understand stress response and resilience to stressors in Asian Seabass under farm conditions, utilizing laboratory model zebrafish and controlled lab studies on early-stage Seabass. The candidate will work with a dynamic team of biologists, neuroscientists, bioinformaticians, and aquaculture specialists to develop novel multi-omics data integration strategies with significant impact.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong bioinformatics background and/or familiarity with software programming, data analysis, and statistics.
• Ability to generate user-friendly scripts in R and Python for data visualization and analysis.
• Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to manage, explore, and interpret complex biological datasets.
• Expertise in microbiome research (preferred).
• Experience in handling different types of omics data (preferred).
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques, documentation, and research data management.
• Proficiency in IT tools, including statistical software and bioinformatics platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team, and enjoys collaboration.
• Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities; detail-oriented and responsible.

Other:
• Proven research track record with publications or preprints in relevant domains.
• Prior demonstrable experience in at least one or more of sc transcriptomics, proteomics, or metabolomics analyses.
• Demonstrable works, such as a GitHub Profile with a history of project works (e.g., from previous publications).
