The Singapore Teaching and Academic Research Talent (START) Scheme and Early Career Awards (ECA) at SIT are co-funded initiatives designed to support outstanding young Singaporean citizens who have recently completed their postdoctoral training and are interested in pursuing an academic career at SIT. These awards aim to enhance the recipient’s teaching capabilities and assist in building a strong research portfolio, with a view to subsequent consideration for an Assistant Professorship. The scheme focuses on translational research and innovation, addressing pertinent industry challenges within SIT’s supported academic areas.
