Staff Research Assistant – HPRC

**Job Description**
The Stephenson Cancer Center’s Health Promotion Research Center (HPRC) is seeking a Staff Research Assistant. This role supports multiple ongoing research studies and serves as the primary contact for participants. Responsibilities include assisting research staff with data collection, record-keeping, conducting literature searches, technical research, data analysis, and preparing reports with minimal supervision, all within Oklahoma’s only NCI-Designated Cancer Center.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Working knowledge of how to safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials or chemicals following Federal, State, and University regulations and guidelines.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to analyze data and keep records.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Biological Science
• Chemistry
• Physical Science or related field
• Psychology (Department Preference)
• Sociology (Department Preference)
• Public Health (Department Preference)
• Other Healthcare field (Department Preference)

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• 12 months research laboratory experience (with Bachelor’s Degree)
Other:
• 48 months equivalent experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree (for a total of 60 months research experience)
• Experience in research project implementation
