**Job Description**
The Temporary Research Assistant position within the Medicine – Infectious Disease Department at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, involves performing data management and programming tasks. Key responsibilities include utilizing SAS programming for quality assurance of clinical, laboratory, and demographic data, creating and maintaining interactive dashboards using Tableau, managing data transmitted from international sites, and providing assistance with manuscript development, proposal preparation, and other scientific activities.

• Proficiency with SAS/R programming language
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications including word processing and Excel
• Proficiency with online searching and email
• Fluency with learning new software applications

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to set priorities and work under pressure to meet time deadlines
• Self-starter who is detail oriented, analytical, and has strong organizational skills

• Understanding of biostatistics and epidemiology (Preferred)
• Basic understanding of data management in clinical research (Preferred)
• Experience working in other software platforms relevant to clinical research (FreezerPro, Tableau, REDCap, SAS, R, Microsoft Office, internet applications) (Preferred)
**Qualifications**
• Satisfactory completion of High School/Undergraduate degree and currently enrolled in undergraduate/graduate studies.
