**Job Description**
The Research Computing Student Assistant at University Libraries is responsible for developing tutorials and teaching workshops focused on programmatic retrieval of scholarly information, data manipulation, data visualization, high-performance computing, and AI/machine learning. The position involves a willingness to learn new programming skills, create custom scripts/programs, and share knowledge through teaching and consultations.

**Qualifications**
Required Enrollment:
• Current University of Alabama undergraduate student registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters.
Required Technical Skills:
• Intermediate experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Matlab, or R.
**Experience**
Preferred Experience:
• Teaching or tutorial creation.
• Bash, Linux, GPU, or high-performance computing.
